I changed a setting in Chrome I think it was a flag composite setting and Chrome seems to be behaving better, Safari still freezes for a bit and then catches up.

Additionally, sometime both monitors that I'm running at the moment go black and they never some back so I have to perform a hard reboot. Any insight you may have regarding this GPU mod I've done would be be great. Thanks so much. Some necro. I think you would be better off buying a new Mac than trying to fight this. You're talking about an almost 10 year old GPU, it's probably gone bad.

So I'm guessing your answer is, the card shouldn't be doing this given the OS I'm running and most likely due to the age of the GPU it's probably tired or done. That line did make sense when the card only had one DVI and one HDMI, as the reference boards did, but then he copied his original review for subsequent reviews, changed the number of outputs, and then didn't check if it was factual. This is the same as how he always had it listed that NVidia didn't support multi-channel LPCM on the series since he just copied his template from the series. I don't think that W1zz is right. I seriously doubt that's the case.

Thanks for all the input, guys. Looks like I will have to get that DisplayPort adapter. Additionally, does this mean that I'm locked into a max of three monitors with this card?

Mussels Freshwater Moderator Staff member. I find this hard to believe because changing the monitor setting with no change on the computer cures this. For my notes, click my username and via private message send me the UW service tag number. For Dell to troubleshoot, you must test the UW on a dedicated Windows operating system PC to see if the issues are present.
