It appears that you have your keyboard setup for French or some European language. Right click on the keyboard icon and left click Settings.
If you cannot locate the keyboard icon you can get at this through the control panel. Go to Regional and Language control panel. Select the keyboards and languages tab and click the change keyboards button.

Hope you find it interesting.? Hi I have tried everything. I changed it once with ctrl and shift, I have changed language back to US…. You lose the British English — but also the annoying French accent symbols. Hope this helps? I have tried all of these things and I nothing has changed.

I have had this issue for some time, and have always fixed it by selecting the Eng Us option in the lower right-hand menu on the screen.
What I would like to know, however, is what I am hitting on my keyboard to cause this to keep happening, so I can hopefully stop doing it. It happens several times a day and I am quite sick of it.
